History
Alfons Freriks started his forwarding company in 1978 with a focus on Scandinavia. He chose to specialize in the flow of goods to Norway. Sweden, Denmark and Finland quickly followed. From the beginning the company focused on intermodal transport as a durable alternative for road transport. Innovative and flexibility are still important pillars of Alfons Freriks Logistics. Just like quality and a service-oriented mentality.
Through a well oiled transportation network the company became rapidly known and expanded the services throughout the whole of Scandinavia. With the same approach Alfons Freriks Logistics took determined steps towards Southern Europe in the eighties and in the beginning of the nineties Eastern Europe. Borders or limitations are unfamiliar in the eyes of Alfons Freriks Logistics.
Worldwide forwarding
The need for worldwide overseas forwarding grew. Therefore, the company opened in 1985 a new office in Rotterdam. The strategic location in the world harbour offered Alfons Freriks Logistics possibilities to develop new logistic activities, in Europe and the other continents.
The MarcoPoloLine Group
Initiated in 2006 by Alfons Freriks Logistics The MarcoPoloLine
Group was developed. This worldwide network of agents with numerous services is directed from Rotterdam. The advantages are tailor made solutions, competitive rates and an even greater flexibility.
